The Public Health Agency of Sweden is hosting the event to create dialogue and learn about public health work in the Nordic countries.

This is the 14th Nordic Public Health Conference. Stakeholders from across the Nordic region with an interest in public health issues will gather in Gothenburg on 13–15 May 2025.

“We look forward to hosting such an important event. Together with other participants, we will share knowledge and experiences from public health work. Based on the Nordic context, we can gain new insights into the development and the efforts that have made a difference”, says Karin Tegmark Wisell, Director-General of the Public Health Agency of Sweden.

The conference is intended for

  • practitioners, decision-makers, politicians, and representatives of non-profit organizations in the field of public health

  • researchers in universities and research institutions

  • trade organizations and private actors in public health, social sustainability, and similar areas.

The Nordic Public Health Conference is held every three years and has been a cooperation between the Nordic countries since the start in 1987.

The conference will be an in-person event and the conference language will be English.

The theme of the conference will be launched later this year. There will also be a dedicated website for the conference.

The Nordic Public Health Conference was hosted in Iceland in 2022 and overlapped with the European Conference in Positive Psychology. Numerous participants attended the conferences and took part in current knowledge and practices in the fields.
